We are looking for an Area sales Manager - Mid-Atlantic Region Particle Size & Imaging to join our team!
Doing what is fun
- Active on-site demo of products for sales leads and customer support
- Interact with a diverse group of prospects/customers ranging from managers, engineers, supervisors, and technicians, to professors, and students
- Responsible for supporting prospects/customers at all levels – pre and post sales, developing strong relationships with key account personnel and end-users
- Meet regular sales targets and coordinate sales projects, prepare, and submit territory forecasts to management
- Prepare and send quotations/information to prospects/customers
- Effective management of follow-up sales process activities via CRM pipeline
- Plan and coordinate travel for prospect/customer visits and equipment/consumables demonstrations
- Travel and represent the company at relevant conferences, tradeshows, and meetings
- Make recommendations for product improvements and marketing opportunities
- Communicate and interact closely with prospects and customers
- Field customer inquiries via email and phone
- Provide application consultations to customer for recommended equipment
- Conduct sales and marketing activities within assigned territory
- Manage all sales aspects of territory
- Provide and maintain opportunity and sales pipeline reports
- Schedule and organize travel into territory for tradeshows and customer demonstrations, schedule and conduct MS Teams consultations and training
- Maintain activity and communication logging in CRM
- Perform installation and training at customer sites
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or other relevant engineering discipline is preferred but practical laboratory experience in particle size and shape measurement and or industrial sales experience will be considered
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Experience working in and maintaining a CRM system is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Team oriented
- Position requires an average of 70% travel
- Preferred location in US East Coast region near major airports
