Area Sales Manager - Metallographic & Materials Testing - Chennai

QATM takes care of metallographic sample preparation and hardness testing and ERWEKA is our producer of pharmaceutical testing devices. Doing what is fun

  • Drive sales for QATM's laboratory equipment portfolio including hardness testers, metallographic preparation systems, and materials analysis instruments across the assigned region
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers in materials science laboratories, manufacturing quality control departments, and research institutions
  • Achieve designated sales targets and expand market share for Verder Scientific's QATM product lines
  • Provide specialized technical and application support for Rockwell, Vickers, and Brinell hardness testing methodologies
  • Conduct demonstrations of metallographic preparation equipment and material characterization systems
  • Analyze customer requirements and recommend appropriate testing solutions based on material science principles
  • Develop comprehensive proposals highlighting the technical advantages of QATM instruments for specific industrial applications
  • Monitor industry trends in materials testing and quality assurance to identify new business opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field ( Must needed )
  • 5+ years of experience in technical sales of laboratory equipment, with specific knowledge of hardness testing systems and metallographic preparation
  • Demonstrated understanding of material characterization techniques including hardness testing (Rockwell, Vickers, Brinell), microstructure analysis, and sample preparation protocols
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in the scientific equipment or industrial quality control sectors
  • Experience with quality assurance standards relevant to materials testing (ASTM, ISO, DIN)
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to explain complex testing methodologies to customers with varying levels of expertise
  • Excellent communication skills to translate technical features of QATM equipment into tangible customer benefits
  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory (40-50%)
